Smile

I would like to say how thankful I am. I realized how lucky I am to have had a chance to see the world and start a new life. I've been all over the world and I can't wait to see more. 3 years ago I left behind my family, cousins, grandparents, the best friend I've ever had, and most of all; my life. I was only 13, forced to adjust to a new culture, language, a new life. I left Finland with my parents and my little brother who I was always close with. Nothing could have made my family closer than being on our own, but together, trying to figure out how to fit in.

Now on my third year of high school, everything's come together. My life is amazing, and I couldn't be happier. I've learned to stay positive. I've learned to only keep the people who truly care about me the closest. I've learned to be independent. It's not bad to let go of the past, it's not bad to forgive. In the end I have everything I need; family.

Never depend on anyone to make you happy. You, only you are responsible for your own happiness. Smile.
